The Rock Garden Tour lockout is nearing an end. We've learned a lot, mostly about changing diapers. We also learned that cute baby clothes aren't nearly as cute when you're trying to put them on a crying baby. We've learned other things too. For example, people that talk about 'thinking outside the box' have no idea how fun it is to think 'inside of the box.' I have first hand knowledge of this, as you can see from the above photo. You can see it in the below photo as well.
I'll explain. It turns out our time away from the show was not entirely spent caring for our new baby Sylvester. We did other things too. For example, our Ipso Gallery organized an art show in collaboration with Nathan Holman and the Famous For Meats Internship Team. The show is called Totem. It features artist Nathan Holman's wood masks and this other thing called the Totem Box. Here's a photo of Nathan inside the Totem Box.
So what? Here's the skinny: Ipso's Totem is an art show that allows fans of Nathan Holman's masks to actually wear them. Boom. The only rule is that fans will have to wear them inside of the Totem Box, a room that Holman and the FFM interns created a couple of Saturdays ago. Also fans won't be able to wear the real masks, they'll wear paper versions of the real masks. So I guess there are two rules. The show happens tonight at Ipso Gallery at Fresh Produce from 6-8pm.
