More lights than my boom box, not quite as much mojo.
The Reel Dakota Film Festival inspired last night's Rock Garden Tour. That has nothing to do with the audio board in the picture though. KCFS traded in their old pot board (engineered by an antique tractor tinkerer out of Menno, SD) for this beauty. We of the rock garden appreciate the new gear. Not pictured is a new butternut squash shaped microphone. So about the show, we talked to a pair of South Dakota film makers Joe Hubers and Aaron Toronto. We referenced acting greats Cage, Costner, Moranis and Spano. And I dedicated a free-verse haiku poem to Bonesteel, SD. The show goes out over the waves tomorrow night on SDPB Radio – turnip yer radio for fun. In the mean time though, have a look at last night's playlist of free range rock and roll featuring new stuff by Wilco, Paley & Frances and Shelby Lynne.
