5-5 TURNIP YER RADIO
If you’ve ever dreamed of setting a world’s record for growing the largest hailstone, this episode isn’t going to be of much help. But we do talk about the world’s largest turnip at some point. And John Boylan, curator of probably the world’s largest Swamp Thing collection, joins us for an interview. Plus free range rock & roll and other stuff. Please enjoy the episode and keep it rural.
5-4 SPANO IN SPRING
Spring is about possibility, and hope, and jokes about Jesse Spano. This episode features less talk and more witty banter about gardening, with an interview with custom chicken coop maker, Greg Peterson, a live performance by Pleasure Horse, and lots of other stuff. Enjoy the show, and keep it rural.
5-3 GOOD GOD! THAT’S GREAT COD! LIVE FROM MOUNT RUSHMORE
We went on a massive tour to launch season five of the show, with stops in Rapid City, Volga, and Mount Rushmore. We also stopped at Al’s I90 in Plankinton, SD but we didn’t play a show there. This episode, recorded live in the cafeteria at the foot of Mount Rushmore National Monument, features less talk, more witty banter, several songs by the family band, a reading by writer Brian Bieber, and a live performance by Kenny Putnam and Boyd Bristow. Enjoy the show, and keep it rural.
5-2 NORTH GROWN HARDY
This is probably the most complicated thing we’ve ever done. Enjoy a podcast from a radio show that we made into a television special. Live at the Matthews Opera House in Spearfish, SD. Featuring News from Pierre, Pleasure Horse, and some special banjo tracks from Jami Lynn. Enjoy the show and keep it rural.
